My Titan and I | O meu Titã e eu

Now that the Titan's face is practically finished, there are still things to do. The piece has to be placed on a base securely and for that I need to make at least two drilled holes that will later fit two metal rods welded to the base. We decided to make them in this peculiar position to save time.

Agora que o rosto do Titã está praticamente terminado, ainda há coisas para fazer. A peça tem de ser colocada sobre uma base de forma segura e para isso preciso fazer pelo menos dois furos, onde mais tarde se encaixam duas varetas metálicas soldadas à base. 

Decidimos fazê-los nesta posição peculiar para poupar tempo.

At the studio | No Atelier

Now we have four 15 / 16 year old boys doing an internship at the Studio.

Continuing to build the Titan’s head | Continuando a construir a cabeça de um Titã

This time I decided to explore the human face, approaching the stone spontaneously.

Working intuitively and without previous study is interesting but tortuous.

Being an exploratory work, the expression of the face is changing at the whim of the moment, with sometimes startling results.

Desta vez decidi explorar o rosto humano, trabalhando a pedra de forma espontânea. 

Trabalhar de forma intuitiva e sem estudo prévio é interessante mas tortuoso. Sendo um trabalho exploratório a expressão vai mudando ao sabor do momento, com resultados às vezes surprendentes.
