I've had it for so many years that it's falling apart.
As I am unable to part with it, I'm sewing it with circles of crochet and it's becoming increasingly beautiful.
Tenho-a  à tantos anos que se está a desfazer.
Como sou incapaz de me separar dela vou-lhe pregando rodelas de crochet e está cada vez mais bonita.

Building a Titan with a little help from my friends | A construção de um Titã com uma pequena ajuda dos meus amigos

Making a sculpture of some size is a team effort. Despite being alone in the execution phase, bringing the stone to the studio, putting it in place or change it in position are moments in which help of colleagues and assistants is precious.

 

Fazer uma escultura de alguma dimensão é um trabalho de equipa. Apesar de estar sozinha na fase de execução, trazer a pedra para o atelier, colocá-la ou mudá-la de posição são momentos em que ajuda de colegas e assistentes é preciosa.

Building a Titan | A construção de um Titã

I’m making a new sculpture for this year’s Sintra exhibition, opening at the end of June.

Last year I placed a Titan’s heart on the sidewalk, this time it’s a Titan’s head fragment.

Mythology is the theme. 

Estou a fazer uma nova escultura para exposição Sintra deste ano que abre no final de Junho.
No ano passado coloquei um coração de Titã no passeio da Volta do Duche, desta vez é um fragmento da cabeça de um Titã.
Mitologia é o tema.

The excitement doesn’t stop.
As the date of the opening approaches, the activity increases, more and more sculptors arriving to do their piece in time for the Sintra exhibition.

A agitação não para.
Á medida que a data da abertura da exposição se aproxima, a actividade vai aumentando, com cada vez mais escultores a chegarem para fazer a sua peça, a tempo da exposição de Sintra.
