Arjuna's Penance
The Arjuna's Penance was built by the Pallava kings in the 7th and 8th centuries. The legend depicted in the relief is the story of the descent of the sacred river Ganges to earth from the heavens led by Bhagiratha.
A Penitência de Arjuna é um monumento construído pelos Reis Pallava nos séculos 7 e 8. O relevo retrata a lenda da descida do sagrado rio Ganges à terra, liderado por Bhagiratha.
